The Dallas Aquarium at Fair Park Programs for Educational Groups

Programs are offered Monday through Friday and are limited to 30 students each. Choose a program at the Aquarium Education Center, or choose an outreach program at your school.

Grades K - 2

"Aquatic Encounters"

An exciting introduction to fish! Compare fish to other aquatic animals. Students experience "close encounters" with various examples of sea life.

Grades K - 4

"Aqua Tots"

Discovering water babies! Students compare the care of young aquatic animals to children. This program focuses on the interesting and unusual changes that occur as animals grow up.

Grades 3 - 6

"Giant Creatures of the Deep"

An exploration into the ocean's depths to discover some of the world's largest animals. An array of props and illustrations are used to present interesting information about these giant creatures.

"Feeding Frenzy"

A lively discussion of food chains, food webs, and food pyramids that exist in aquatic environments. Students have the opportunity to see, touch, and hear about exciting underwater creatures and their feeding habits.

Grades 7 - 12

"Fish Adaptions"

An introduction to ickthyology using live and prepared specimens and slides. Students get an understanding of the anatomy and physiology of fish.
